Winter Birthdays?
Jan 30th, 2013, 9:40am

Winter Birthdays don’t have to be dull or expensive. Think outside the box. Here are some great indoor inexpensive party ideas:
•Look at hiring a balloon artist or face painter
•Have your party at your local Humane Society
•Host a “Pizza Chef Birthday Party”. Have the children make one large pizza or individual pizzas
•Have a “DIY Cupcake Birthday Party” Pre-bake and ice the individual cupcakes. Put out styrofoam plates with variety of sprinkles colors and shapes. This is also a very inexpensive and stimulating idea for your indoor party!
•Host a “Pool Party” at your local  swimming pool. Most pools will rent out a party room and up to an hour of swimming time. Bring your own food.

Yes the ideas are very good.  Add some craft ideas if you like.  I was thinking up ideas a couple of weeks ago for the Disney Frozen Theme.  If you can get a dead tree or nice size branch with little branches place it in a bucket or container of sorts.  You could either decorate it with Christmas tree ice crystals or get the kids to make ice crystals or iconic pictures from the movie.

Pompoms, googly eyes, felt and pipecleaners are also easy to get hold of.  Get the kids to make snowmen, and other crafty pieces as a type of additional favour for them to take home with them at the end as a memento.

Depending on age you could also do a sleep over and don't forget the Hot Chocolate with Marshmellows.

Ooo - you could do a party at the ice-rink too.
