Need Help With 18th Birthday Party!
Jan 10th, 2012, 12:48am
Ok, so this is a little strange, But I am turning 18 in March, this is my first birthday party ever, and I have no family and a few friends and my husband. I want to have a big party since I've never had one before, but what do I do since I have no people to invite? Thank You!

Budget plays a very big role in the planning of any event. And what do you mean by "big". Booking a private dining room in a lovely restaurant is a nice way to celebrate a birthday.

For an 18th birthday I'd definitely take the party to a dance club. Only having a few attendees will be fine because others are always ready to party at a dance club. Get the DJ to announce your birthday and live it up.

Search your area for 18 and up dance clubs. Send invitations to your friends, wear a birthday sash, or a tiara. You deserve a fun birthday party especially if you have never had one. Happy Birthday!!

I definitely agree with Emily - a dance club is the best way to have a BIG party without having a big guest list.

If you have a big budget, you can throw a public party and you'll surely meet some new friends! You could even charge for admission with something like that.

Another way to have a party that feels huge with only a few people is to charter a small yacht or take a dinner cruise (if you're near any water). You'll definitely have a great time and you'll feel like you were surrounded by people all night!

Another way to go big without having a ton of people is to take a day or weekend trip with your friends and husband. You'll have to look for some steals and split the tab with everyone, but you could have a fabulous time! We're in South Florida and one of the best day trips around is a day trip to Grand Bahama Island on a ferry from Ft Lauderdale - and it's only $100 per person.

Whatever you decide to do, we hope you have a wonderful 18th and enjoy your very first birthday celebration!
