My sixteenth birthday is coming up this March 2012. I'm having a large seventeenth birthday (kind of like a sweet seventeenth?) sometime in winter 2013. I have a group of around 7 very close friends, and I would want to have a small party with them. I was thinking about having taking them to a nice restaurant and then to a "fun-house" for teens with laser tag, huge bounce slides, etc. My friends are NOT girly at all, and I want to do something fun that isn't a large thing like my 17th. Does anyone have suggestions about this? Is it appropriate? I don't want to take them to a place for just little kids, but I think laser tag sounds like fun... Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. We're in the Long Island area of NY, and recommendations for a nice, appropriate restaurant would also be cool!

Laser tag sounds like a great idea for your friends. In my area we have a cool indoor rock climbing place. I looked for one in Long Island and found IslandRock.net. This place looks huge! Leave to New York to have the coolest places. For the non-girly girls I think this would be really fun.

Laser Tag sounds like a fantastic idea! Most of the arcade style laser tag places are geared more towards teens then little kids so you should be in the clear! It sounds like a great time! Have a Happy Birthday!
