Motorcycle Themed Party (42 year old)
Mar 15th, 2010, 1:55pm

The party will be in a restaurant/lounge that has several party rooms, a dancefloor, a live band and a DJ (I know - that's  LOT going on in one place!  Grin).

The guest of honor is a 42 year old male.  He owns a company that manufactures motorcycle exhaust systems.  The Host is expecting 50 - 75 people.

A little background about me:  I'm an aspiring event planner.  I told the Host for this event about a party that I'm giving my son.  She loved my ideas and now she wants my help with this party for her boyfriend.

I'm thinking silver/chrome accents, but would one really do balloons at a party for a 42 year old?

What else can I do?

THANX!

I think birthdays are one time of the year where it's okay to act like a kid again. So yes, definitely balloons! I think most of us would agree that once you pass 21, birthdays are not as exciting as they used to be.

But, I don't think it needs to be that way! As a party planner, you want to do your best to make the guest of honor have fun, feel young, and simply have a blast.

The silver/chrome accent idea is fantastic. Definitely try to find someone with a motorcycle to give rides to the guests. Have plenty of drinks to go around and casual, everyday party foods. Fun outdoor games like corn-hole, horseshoes, and darts will be entertaining and will promote friendly competition.

Basically, just try to think of what was fun for you and your friends to do when you were a young 20-something. Help your guest re-capture his youth! Wink

It's a good idea but I also have a unique outdoor party idea. I have heard about FREE AT LAST PARTY BUS. It is the ultimate party bus in Nashville! Their 25 seat one of a kind bus offers a 40 inch flat screen LCD TV, DVD player, smoke machine, disco lighting, and live DJ.  I think it maybe the unique idea for your party.

Nice idea - tlatrice!

Colorful balloons I love them! Do you know any thing about cornhole game? I think you should plan that also!  Smiley
