What is "Club Chic" attire??
Sep 29th, 2009, 11:20am

DS is invited to a BM for a girl from town. I do not know the family at all, and I have no idea who else from town has been invited. The service is on Saturday, the party is on Sunday at a fancy catering facility. The invitation says Club Chic - what do they mean by that? Obviously suit for the service, but suggestions for the reception would be great.

DS went to one "Club Attire" this past Saturday. I put him in his suit pants and a dress shirt...no tie or jacket.

i recently went to my neice and nephew's bm party - a kids only saturday night party at a go-cart venue.  the invitation said "club chic".  almost without exception the boys wore khaki pants with dress shirts or button-down shirts untucked.  the girls wore short (way short!) sparkly party dresses.   this was in the metro nyc area.

How did girls get in go carts in party dresses??? Or was it a dance party at the venue?

personally, i just didn't get it!  my dd wore short spandex shorts (the type she wears under her running shorts for sports) under her dress.  i'm not sure what the other girls did.  there was a dj and dancing, but everyone (including me - i wore pants!) went on the go karts too!

i have understood club chic (from experience) to dress like you are going to a club....for the boys is what everyone said.

DD wore a sparkly dress (short, but not incredibly).
