Could you not compromise and use something like for example
"The New Mr & Mrs Craigmont" (obviously you would use their last name) OR a verse saying something about "Love" instead of using names?.
If it was up to me I would say it's a Bridal Shower people, not the wedding and it should say "Jane's Bridal Shower". If your having different favors for the wedding then the ribbon should say something else. If your trying to cut corners and save some cash, find something nutral likea saying or poem.
The gift is a reminder to those who attended the SHOWER & shows appreciation for those who were there.
Is there no way of splitting the order to get two different verses on the ribbon?.
I can see where you are having troubles but there has to be some kind of agreement. How about having the mother of the bride decide or the maid of honor?. Someone has to put their foot down because it could go on forever.
Best of luck.
