40 YO Graduation Party Invitation wording
Mar 20th, 2005, 11:59pm
My husband finally graduated from college and we are planning a party.  I need help with invitation wording.  It needs to be light and funny without being too cutezy.   He had been going and stopping becasue of something that always came up, he didn't really need it for his career but he did manage to graduate Pi Kappa Phi!  I keep writing and deleting any suggestions? Undecided

The theme that we chose for our 8th Grade party was "Oh the Places You'll Go"  We bought this book by Dr. Suess and decorated in all the colors on the cover.  We had the whole 8th grade class sign the book and donated it to the school library. We made hot air balloon centerpieces with balloons, ribbon and plastic party glasses filled with M &M's. The Room was filled with helium balloons..the dj was wonderful and included lots of interaction in his program (we paid a little extra for this dj and it was well worth it)   We also had a roving magician, a caricature artist, kid friendly appetizers, a popcorn machine, and soda bar.  Througout the year we had a few parents video tape the kids at different functions and we also conducted interviews with them etc. then we edited the tapes and had a dvd made which we played on a large screen throughout the evening. They loved seeing themselves on the screen.  Lucky for us we had a parent who donated a disposable camera for each student.  This was their party favor. It was a great party.
