Hi,
I work at Michael's doing demos.  From now until July, I will have to do demos on favors MANY times and I run out of ideas.  Please share some of your ideas with me.

Hi!  I'm soryy I don't have any ideas for you but I  was hoping that you could give me some ideas.  My sister-in-laws bridal shower is in April .  We were hoping to make the favors but I can't think of any good ideas.  I would appreciate any you could give me.  Thanks  Chris

Well, It would help to know what colors and theme you have in mind.  Candles lend themselves to lots of treatments.  Recently, I made hand made papers to wrap around votive glasses, tied with rafia, for favors.  We also did vellum paper with black and white checked ribbon on votive glasses.

I love doing small plants in hand painted clay pots too.  For my daughter's wedding, we did tree seedlings wrapped in burlap and tied with ribbon.  I've also made little vases attached to a napkin ring of polymer clay and filled them with a miniature bouquet.

I once raided the Goodwill for every pair of stemmed glasses they had. (Cleaned up in the dishwasher, of course)  First, I painted the stems and feet of the glasses with glass paint, then I wrapped the type of garland that has little mylar shapes on a long wire around the bottoms of the glasses, and around the neck of a bottle of wine. Each couple got a bottle of wine and two decorated glasses to keep.  Ir's also fun to use those tiny bottles of wine, just on thier own or with a hand made lable.
