Hi. I want to start an event planning business after helping to plan and manage events in the past just for the experience. One of my fears is if I plan a party and after all the marketing and inviting a very low amount of guest show up and the client is looking at a half empty room Undecided? How much of that is on the event planner? How often does that happen and how do planners jump that hurdle?

Those pictures are precious.  Thanks for sharing.  I know you all had a great time  And at the end of a long party day, even a Princess is too tired to pose.

I think getting gifts for the winners is a great idea, but I wouldn't worry about gender specific gifts. Kids at that age don't care. Non-toxic balloons, a coloring book, silly hats and glasses. I think all of these are appropriate gifts.  My niece is three actually and she can go HAM on some stickers. (HAM: Hard as a Mofo) Not to mention candy! Wink

Hi! I recently went to a graduation at a very small highschool in the gym. They covered the floor so you wouldn't see the basketball lines. I thought it looked really great with the matching draping. It was a little while ago, so I can't remember if they used butcher paper, or giant panels of vinyl, but Id look into it!

This may be a bit of a strange question, but need some input... we sent out save the dates to my daughter's camp friends a couple months after camp.  Normally, we wouldnt send save the dates to kids, but since some of them are out of town, we wanted them to have more advanced notice.  She sent them to her whole cabin.  While she wasnt best friends with everyone in the cabin, she didnt want anyone to be left out.  In the meantime, it looks like she has already not been invited to a few of these girls'.  Our invites dont go out for a couple months, but wondering if it is wrong to never send the invite, if you already sent the save the date, even if they did not reciprocrate.  We are leaning towards doing the nice thing and still including them, but my dd is rather hurt by their actions.  Opinions?
