Title: graduation gifts
Post by jodianndan on Mar 16th, 2009, 2:11pm

My son is sharing his graduation open house with 3 friends. Each boy has his own invitation list and I don't want those invited to feel obligated to give a gift to each graduate. What could I say on the invitation that would sound tactful?

Most of their invited classmates  will know that it is for the three boys and therefore can make their own gift decisions.  For your invited guests just put his name on the invite.  The rule of thumb is not to mention gifts on invites because it gives the assumption that they were going to bring a gift.
